Purpose
To direct and facilitate the services provided by Christar in Canada relating to those who seek to and those who serve among the least-reached through Christar-related ministries.
Objectives / Outcomes
Because of the work of the Director of Personnel
- There will be men and women who are mobilized, assessed, trained, and well-cared for, who
- Love God more than themselves, their work, and family (Luke 14:26);
- Love others as much as themselves (Matt 22:39);
- Use their God-given gifts, talents, and skills for making disciples of Christ and establishing churches among the least-reached.

Ministry Specific Responsibilities
- Direct and coordinate activities of the Personnel Division to recruit, train, and care for short, mid, and long-term workers.
- Analyze operations to evaluate the performance of the division staff in meeting organizational objectives, and to determine areas of potential cost reduction, program improvement, or policy change.
- Prepare budgets for approval, including those for funding and implementation of programs.
- Developing and building the team by encouraging and building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
- Communicate with supervisors, peers, and subordinates to provide information, resolve conflict, and encourage effective and efficient outcomes.

- Ability to motivate and encourage others toward the agreed-upon objectives
- Administrative ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines.
- Pastoral skills which are needed for edifying, encouraging, and supporting others.
- Strong understanding of assessment tools (GripBirkman;16-PF; MBTI; FIRO-B, etc.) and how they are relevant to ministry opportunities and responsibilities.
- Good verbal, written, and public speaking skills.
- Able to skillfully administrate the complexities of a very diverse division of the Mobilization Center ministry.
- Knows Christar DNA, places, opportunities.
- Can navigate O365 and documents and opportunities therein.
