The Gospel

God is completely holy and perfect, while man is not: “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23) According to Romans 6:23a, the consequences of man’s sin and separation from God are that man has earned death—eternal separation from God—and has no hope of escape on his own: “For the wages of sin is death.”

Most religions of the world try to offer a futile way back to a holy God through certain actions—good deeds, meditation, helping others, giving to the needy and so on. However, the Bible tells us that out of love, God did what we could not do. He sent Jesus Christ to bridge the separation man’s sin creates between God and man by paying the death penalty we earned: “but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.’”(Romans 5:8)

Because Jesus died in man’s place and was raised from the dead, we can be made spiritually alive in Christ and have a relationship with our Creator. This is a free gift: “But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ …For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God.” (from Ephesians 2:4-5, 8)

God’s desire is that none should perish. His gift of eternal life is available to you! We would be thrilled if you would acknowledge the sin that has separated you from God, turn from it and believe that Jesus has paid the penalty for your sin, and receive the restoration that God has made possible through Jesus.
